This conclave promises to be “exciting,” as there’s no real favorite. Yes, there’s a lot of speculation. But the truth is, unless you are a member of the conclave or know a chatty cardinal, we all have no idea.
But that won’t keep us from sharing our opinions, and in a social media world, there are plenty of them.
Some think there’s a real chance that we may have our first pope not from the continent of Europe. Others are convinced that the Vatican will stick to its very old ways, and elect an Italian.
One thing is painfully obvious, considering those allowed to cast ballots have an average age of 72 and are all men, no real change is going to happen. But maybe this will prove to be stepping stone.
