I love love love to laugh. I revel in it. Without laughter, my life would be dull, tedious and incomplete. This is why I've always loved comedies. I remember once when my son was young going to the movies to see comedian Sinbad's, Houseguest. I laughed hysterically and uproariously so long throughout the film that my embarrassed teenager eased out of the seat by me and moved himself several rows back.
"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person." ―Audrey Hepburn
Laughing helps you to let go, release, unwind. It let's you forget yourself. It helps lighten things up, eases tension. Living in a heavy world as we do these days, besieged by bad news and burdened by problems, it's important to have a daily bit of laughter to help one keep things in perspective.
Aside from intelligence, the thing I've always found most attractive in a person is the ability to make me laugh. Guffaw. Hoot. Howl. Find my funnybone and I'm all yours. When the day takes a nose dive, I can always find my way back to base, if someone can make me laugh.
A laugh is Love's way of saying, "Lighten up!" And...laughter is the best medicine. Have you had your laugh today?
