I've been itching to share my thoughts about my latest makeup addiction, the BB Cushion. It's funny how I have 3 BB Cushions from different brands (now 4), and I just started using one from Laneige and boy, I'm stunned. I still have 3 more to test and review but for now let me release my exploding excitement to publish this review guys.
I got the Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control from Laneige Boutique in SM MOA, located 2nd level near Forever 21 and Marks & Spencer just a day before my birthday last month. If you saw my holding my mini haul, yes that's it.

Laneige BB Cushion comes in different variants; Anti-aging, Brightening, Pore Control. I chose to get Pore control since my main concern is the oiliness of my face. I'm planning to try anti-aging and brightening next but I'll just go with the refills to save a little.
Yes, it's quite expensive. However, it already comes with a refill so if you already have the compact you can just purchase the refill in the future for around P900.00. It may still appear pricey and I hear comments like it's very easy to finish the compact. I cannot say much about that yet since I really like the product to the point that I only use it on special occasions like events and meetings. It's already more than a month and I still haven't touched the free refill. Maybe if you use it often, like wearing it everyday for work.
I'm so happy it's available in 5 shades! On the website, Laneige.com, all their BB cushions (any variant) has 8 shades that you can choose from, 11 up to 33, I bought a different brand to try and unfortunately there are only 2-3 shades available. I always get the darkest, normally No. 23 but still look slightly whiter that my complexion. I got No. 31 Brown Beige (darkest). Upon application, it may still look whiter but it gradually adapts to my skintone.
It also has SPF 50 PA+++ perfect for everyday use. You may not want to use this at night or during flash photography for it may leave white case in your photos.
Packaging
Minimalistic. Some of us are used to girly packaging of korean products but I find Laneige image is simple, elegant, and direct to the point for their target market. The compact is quite bigger than normal but still handy. It comes with a mirror that's huge enough to see your whole face.
Applicator
It's not your normal sponge that absorbs the product, instead, it spreads and blends the bb cream effectively to your skin. I think it's one of its great features of the bb cushion and it's why it really helps decrease the appearance of pores. The refill comes with a new sponge so you can throw this away together with the empty containter.

The container is sealed and make sure to properly close the compact after each use to avoid wasting the product and for added hygiene.
This is how the cushion looks like. You have to press the sponge to the cushion to get the product. I think this is the main technology of BB Cushion why it works so great on skin.
What I got after one light press to the cushion. A little goes a long way so make sure to blend evenly on the skin.

I instantly look flawless after application. There are still some stubborn blemishes peeking through but my pores are no longer screaming with pride *haha* I just apply a thin layer of concealer on areas that need more coverage like dark spots and pimple marks.
These photos are not enhanced, blurred, whatsoever. Look at how my skin looks so nice and flawless in the pictures! I just dust a little loose powder, finish my makeup and tada!
Whenever I wear Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control, I notice my T-zone is not that oily. I usually dab it with oil control paper after 2-3 hours but Laneige BB Cushion lasted me the whole day without retouch which rarely happens especially if I'm going to attend events. No breakouts nor irritation experienced. My pores are not as visible compared to wearing other products. My skin looks healthier and I always get compliments from friends.
I highly recommend it to you guys esp. to oily peeps like me. You'll love it, I promise! It may be pricey but the quality you get is what you pay for. If anyone here have tried this too, let me know your thoughts! Also if you can recommend other great bb cushion you've tried, would like to discover it too!
