lined with palm trees
a block away from a ramshackle ranch
where peacocks roam and
McDonald's blares a neon sign next door
If I dwell on it just enough
it's weirdly wonderful,
iconic of this town,
I'm so tickled I can barely breath
If I dwell on it too much
it's haphazard juxtaposition,
iconic of this town,
I'm so enraged I can barely see

That's not a typo, folks. The Eifel Tower Rd in Las Vegas is spelled with one f and is about as far away as it can get from the miniature Eiffel Tower on the strip. That seems like a whole 'nother poem waiting to be written...
This was written in response to Trifecta's "dwell" challenge this week. Had to take the 3rd definition of the word and write another 33 - 333 words inspired by it.
