Yes, as my favorite show barely clung to life (2 half seasons was not enough time), 30 Rock raked in the awards. Needless to say my detestation was shallow and short-lived.
Anyone who’s caught even a moment of Tina Fey’s comedic brain-child knows true loathing of 30 Rock is not humanly possible. The show is smart, witty, whimsical, random, and downright gleeful (pre-Ryan Murphy definition), and tonight it comes to a close
After 7 seasons with Liz, Jack, Tracy, Jenna, and Kenneth, it’s time to say goodbye. They’ve made us laugh, they’ve made us cry from laughing too much, they’ve been live, they’ve been Muppets, and so much more.
Its farcical look at the inside workings of comedy, corporate America, and the challenges of a modern woman trying to navigate both; all set against constantly outrageous scenarios never disappointed and will be missed. So, as 30 Rock rides off into its syndication sunset we bid thee adieu, thank you for the laughs, and apologize for the years of blind hatred…seriously though Pushing Daisies was awesome, I think Ms. Fey would agree.
