You need to have this hot chocolate. Because it’s not just any old hot chocolate, it’s a French-Mexican hybrid with traditional spices and added chilli from Bolo Bolo in Muizenberg. If all those words sound so lovely in the same sentence, imagine all in the same cup! It’s completely local, organic and vegan yet incredibly rich and creamy. They were called Closer before, but still have the same unusual and delicious vegan burgers that keeps me going back. I also love the alternative literature shelf where you’ll find books on sustainable living, anarchy, vegan cooking, philosophy, psychedelics, ghosts and other surprising topics. There is also an unfinished graffiti piece by artist Mak1 in the courtyard, I wonder if it’s done yet?
