Lesson 705 – Happy President’s Day (I Think)

Posted on the 18 February 2013 by Wendythomas @wendyenthomas

It’s President’s Day.

Happy day to all! I guess.

What I mean is I’m not sure how we’re supposed to celebrate the day.

Unlike other years, the kids are in school today. Marc has the day off from work but there’s no special way to spend it (other than going to Tractor Supply on a non-weekend day – which, for him, is pretty exciting.)

For me, it’s like any other day. I’ve got my butt in the chair and I’m writing articles that have deadlines (one blog post I got out this morning is over here.)

I suppose when the kids get home we’ll make our flag cake usually saved for the Fourth of July. But that is only if I can find the strawberries and blueberries needed. It being winter, perhaps I should go with a cranberry and walnut version of the flag? (Which, actually, doesn’t sound too bad.)

In any event, it’s President’s Day. Perhaps the biggest celebration of this day comes from the calendar reminding us that when it’s President’s Day, Spring is not far behind.
