Currently having a child in the military makes be hyper-aware of holidays like Veterans Day and Memorial Day, where we give recognition and sincere thanks for those who have fought and given their lives for the protection of our country.
Honor walks right alongside death in this parade.
I am eternally gratitude for those who have died, knowing full well that each soldier gone was once someone’s precious son or daughter.
And I send wishes of protection, strength, and peace to all who serve today.
