Lessons from Painting My Office

Lessons from painting my officeI am putting the finishing touches of paint on the walls of new office. For some reason, I saved this molding along the top of the ceiling for last.

At the end of days of painting, I have grown impatient. I started using a 2″ brush to put the white semi-gloss on the molding. The only problem was, that no matter how much I scraped the brush on the can before applying it, it always dripped. I was cleaning the white semi-gloss off the pale blue wall constantly.

Finally I switched to the 1″ brush and resolved myself that I would just have to move slower. Ironically, not only did I eliminate the dripping, but I actually moved faster with the 1″ brush.

Life is like that occasionally; we must use a small brush with less paint to move ahead quicker.
