During our late-night conversations
With feelings to word translations
There was a great transformation
Of all my emotions
From simple attraction
I fell into deep affection
Even love, if I dare to make a confession
And now you are the subject of my compositions
But the truth is, if this bubble I may burst
And here’s a warning, it may hurt
At the bottom of our hearts there is dirt
And from experience, I have learned
The grains tear apart our words
Until nothing remains but hurt
And these unexpectedly we will blurt
And everything will be a blur
Sooner or later, we will stop seeing
The very reason for the way we feel
And we will be blind to everything
That can glue together all the seams
Drifting apart from each other
We will not recognize the other
And it will break our hearts for sure
When we meet one cold December
And notice the shared memories that hover
Right above us forever
And everything that happened, we will remember
Even if the moment, in seconds, is over
And in the others eyes we will see
Emotions deeper than the sea
And we will realize what we did
And everything that we hid
So I’ll tell you right now
There is no use in pursuing this love
Don’t ask me the reasons, why, where, how
I have no answers for you right now
And this composition has reached its end
It’s time for our farewell
In a paper boat we both make
We’ll let the truth sail away.
