Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fears

About a month ago I went on a blogger retreat called Renew. It was step up by Madison and Rachel. It was awesome. I also met the awesome and wonderful Jenni from Frankly My Dear. We met in Lexington and drove to the cabin in Gatlinburg, TN. At first I was a little nervous what we would talk about for 3 1/2 hours to the cabin. It was so easy and we talked about everything under the sun. I love how she is just as random and jumps from topic to topic.

In Gatlinburg was absolutely life changing for me. At the retreat I met 14 of my newest favorite people. I had some great conversations with each of the ladies that made me realize that I need to change some of the things in my life.

On Sunday I met back up with the husband in Lexington which is about 3 hours from our place. In that conversation back home we talked about how we need to find a church family. Also I need to spend more time in the Word.

I have also wanted to add more faith into this space. It is a part of who I am, but also a big struggle in my life. I spend a lot of time reading books by Christian authors (and also self help and professional development books) but not in the book that it really matters.

To be honest I don't really know where to start. I haven't really studied the bible. I read certain verses and underline and circle, but not really get into the Word. I have spent some time doing the She Reads Truth devotionals everyday and excited to see where it goes from there.

From here on out every Wednesday I will talk about faith and religion.

By the way some of the big news from this weekend, Gary and I finally found a church home in Charleston. We have been struggled to find a church since Oklahoma City and LifeChurch.
