Lets Do London!

One of my favorite places to visit in the UK has got to be London!
For the last few years I have visited once a year - I prefer to go in the run up to Christmas as I love soaking up the festive atmosphere which I personally think London has in spades!
Here is my Top 5 List of what to do, where to go and where to stay in London!
Sightseeing
There are SO many famous sights to behold in London, and I have been lucky enough to visit with a close friend of mine who is American which allowed me to see the city through the eyes of a REAL tourist - there were so many things that he was excited to see - including Madame Tussauds, The Tower Of London, London Bridge and the London Eye - but his biggest "MUST SEE" was Buckingham Palace.
And I have to say it is my favorite place to visit in London - I love looking at it and wondering what is happening inside, I love seeing the excited crowds outside, and I love watching the traditional changing of the Guards. Its almost like stepping back to another time!

Shopping
Shopping of course is a BIG attraction in London and there is no doubt at all that, although there are many fun and funky places to visit such as Covent Garden and the Trocadero Centre (I'm not personally a fan of Oxford Street!), my absolute MUST visit is always Harrods!
A look around the food hall alone makes it worth the trip!

Dining
The dining options are plentiful in London, and whenever I visit I enjoy finding new places to eat so its quite difficult to narrow down just one favorite place as I tend to always keep it varied.
But one place I always mean to visit and have never actually got around to is The Ritz - their afternoon tea's look simply amazing!
Sites such as Wowcher and Groupon often have offers on afternoon tea at The Ritz so its worth keeping an eye out for a special occasion!

Accomodation
There are so many hotels to choose from when visiting London, but one that is stylish and suits all budgets is the checklist for me - and the St Georges Hotel meets them perfectly!!

What are your favorite places to visit in London?! As always, I'd love to hear from you!
