Letting It Go, and Being Thankful!

From my Moms garden.

Today I got some disappointing news. Earlier this semester, a couple of my friends and I applied for a study program for innovation hosted by a several universities, including my own. It would give us the chance to go to the U.S. for three months, earn a semester with credits and get a little work experience on top of it all. I thought I had the perfect resume and I so badly wanted to go, but I wasn't accepted. There is still a slight chance of placing if someone gave up their place, but it's meager. Supposedly, there were a lot of qualified applicants that didn't place this year.
Oh, if only we could let these things go more easily... Anyway. This isn't really a day to be whiny, is it? I wanted to say to all my fellow readers in the United States: a happy Thanksgiving! I wish we had that holiday everywhere. We could really use a day where we could reflect upon our blessings, especially here in Norway. Thanksgiving is such a beautiful tradition, because there is always so much to be thankful of! It's worthy a day of celebrating!
I'm endlessly thankful for the fact that me, my closest family and all my friends are all healthy. Nothing is more important to me than that!
