Life Lately: January

Hello, hello, all my dear blogging friends! I've had the maddest of January's ever. It's was so busy and full of activity.  My boy came home.  As I mentioned in my post about Australia, my boyfriend was over in Perth working. However, just before Christmas his contract (which, admittedly was temporary, although an indefinite one) came to an end. There was a momentary sadness that he was back to job-hunting, but then the luckiest of things happened! A job opened up right on our doorstep that he really wanted to hey presto, he was home! It involved a very snowy drive to Heathrow and a very early start to pick him up for his 6am(?!) flight! All worth it though. We moved out of my Mum's house.

Making Friends. I've never been to a blogger meet-up, so went I met up with Karen from A Simple Cup of Tea I was this wonderful bundle of nerves and excitement. A few of my non-blogging friends were a little worried for me "meeting someone I'd met online" and were half expecting me to get harassed and abandoned in Cardiff Bay! Well, I certainly was harassed but with lovely hugs, as we got along famously. Karen is just one of the sweetest and funniest girls I've met in a long while and we just seemed to 'click'.  We went out for lunch at Cardiff's Mill Lane Las Iguanas, and devoured some cocktails and tapas whilst discussing men, musicals and all things blogging. The food was divine. Why hadn't I tried tapas sooner?! We also took a little trip to London last weekend which I'll blog about very soon. It involves books and Liberty's, and Illamasqua.

Working hard. I'm still pretty much in love with my new job. We had a fantastic networking event in Las Iguanas, Cardiff Bay at the end of January and I got to meet some pretty amazing (read: intimidating) people.  How was your January?
