It is that time of year again - where does the time go?! Today I went to Lincolnshire Show - what an amazing day. I was meant to take my little sister but she decided that she would much rather go to school instead, apparently their maths lesson was going to be really exciting. Instead I took my friend Corrie. I am lucky enough have a friend that is a Lincolnshire Show lifetime member and, as she was only going to the show yesterday, she dropped off her second member pass and said I could use it. It was extremely kind of her, and it meant I had free entry into the show and was allowed to park in a special car park - which was really exciting and one of the best parts of the day!
Like with any agricultural show, there were lots of animals. My friend Emma keeps cows, which she shows with her mum, and she came first and second which was particularly exciting. There were lots of animals to see throughout the whole show, there was a bee keeping tent (of which I forgot to get a photograph) and lots of little charities had brought along their animals, too. Weirfield Animal Hopsital, Lincoln had brought along their ducklings, a gosling and a cygnet, all orphaned. They were adorable. They also had brought two day hedgehog babies in, their mom had been hit by a car which was sad but they were also gorgeous, I could have taken them home!
There were also lots of stalls. As I am fortunate enough to have the most wonderful mum, she gave me her credit card to treat myself with. For a while I have been looking for a hat to wear when I go to Leeds Festival and I am now the proud owner of the most beautiful sunhat in the world. It is perfect for Leeds and a fantastic way to cover greasy hair after nearly a week of not showering. (ew) I also treated myself to a Joules gilet. In pink. It has been promoted to my favourite clothing item and I can't wait to wear it!
Overall, I had a wonderful day and I would fully recommend visiting the show in future.
