Listen with the Twins...

So, quite often I like to play music to the twins. Although I don’t usually play them the stereotypical Bach or Mozart or any of the other classical giants, I do play them what I consider to be a pretty sweet selection of bands.

It has become a kind of morning ritual where I spend half an hour or so playing them different music and seeing if they react. It amazes me that each twin seems to react differently to different bands. Twin 2 seems more inclined towards alt rock and twin 1 seems to go crazy every time Coldplay is played (even if it is on the TV or radio). I have to say the Coldplay was a bit of a surprise, not that there is anything wrong with liking Coldplay, it is just not my usual choice... The bands that they both go wild for every time I play them are Angels & Airwaves (in particular the song ‘The Adventure’) and Sigur Ros. Whenever I play these bands they both wriggle and kick, it is very cute. They also get their disco on whenever I play guitar and sing to them, which I am taking as a very lovely compliment.

Anyway I have l put a preview selection of what the twins listen to below...I hope you enjoy them as much as they seem too. Oh and if you are intrigued to hear what my music sounds like (if you want to take the twins up on their recommendation), then check out my music site: http://myspace.com/lifeofsusa
