It is amazing to think we’re already in November – I seem to have slid in on a longish slippery slide all the way from October! November is a happy busy month – what with my fourth year as a NaNoWriMo participant. Unlike the past years, I haven’t been busy preparing. So much has been happening offline. But I’ve been thinking about my “novel” during my daily walk. Oh yeah. Plotting, playing with ideas…when the perfect thing popped into my head. I’ll be really happy to have this particular story meet a publisher! I also hope to fine tune the drafts I’ve written, that are sitting in my computer.
I had an amazing experience last week. We celebrated National Unity Day on October 31 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and I was invited by my son’s school as the chief guest for the occasion. I had the privilege of addressing the school during the morning assembly with a speech. I had a wonderful time speaking after the joy of listening to the children go through their usual routine singing the school song. I always feel emotional when they sing – the collective voice gives me a solid heart-squeeze. This was followed by a pleasant breakfast after which I headed home.
On the way back, I enjoyed these sights via my phone camera.
What a pretty welcome into the school! The students are so talented!
This trusty old log as been around for so long.
I love this lane. It always looks magical to me in the warm afternoon sunshine.
The whole place is fragrant with these flowers which form a carpet on the ground.
And when I got home, this was waiting for me. Assorted chocolates. Okay, so I can’t eat them…but that’s hardly an issue. There are folks who can and will enjoy it! Heh!
I am looking forward to a hectic week with joy! I’ll be skipping on and off the internet as I enjoy my NaNoWriMo journey this year along with NaBloPoMo November with BlogHer. Yes, I intend to post daily this month, too. ♥
If you are on a happy writing binge too, check out the Write Tribe blog for daily inspiration and motivation.
And oh, I jumped into #FMSPhotoADay, too. I’ll do a round up of each week’s photos from next Sunday.
