Today prepare to revel in the wonder of words. That's right, it's Dictionary Day!

But not just any Dictionary Day, today honors Noah Webster, the Father of the American Dictionary.

But what makes a dictionary American?

I'm so glad you asked...

Time to get with the program (or programme), having the right dictionary on hand can make all the difference when you're trying to determine how a word is spelled (or spelt).

No need to apologize (or apologise) if your spelling starts traveling (or travelling) the globe. Most will recognize (or recognise) your meaning.

And while it can be quite the maneuver (or manoeuvre) to jump between American and British English, it's best to be good-humored (or good-humoured) about it.

There's a whole colorful (or colourful) world of words out there, crusaders. Now get out there and dialog (or dialogue) with confidence.

...bi-daily smile...
