Looks Like You'll Have to Tan the Old Fashion Way

Posted on the 17 October 2011 by Whatsgoingoninleeannesmind @Mommalynyrd

Bad News for kids under 14 in the state of California! Thanks to Gov. Jerry Brown you are no longer permitted by law to use a tanning bed. Sorry guys and gals! Under the new law signed in by Gov. Jerry Brown kids between the ages of 14 and 18 will have to be given a written consent from their parent/gaurdian in order to use the tanning beds in the state.

It looks as though they will just have to go soak up the sun on the beach rather than speed tan in a box.

Hey, its Healthier that way!

It has been stated that tanning beds put off UV rays that can be potetially damaging to the cells of teenagers whos cells are still rapidly developing.

Tanning beds have also been linked to an increase in skin cancers as well as an agent in accelerating the aging process.

** I give California Gov. Jerry Brown a big hand in his decision to ban tanning in younger age groups for multiple reasons. One of those being that the kids are to immature to be able to make a decision on whether the risk of Cancer is worth their darker completion.

**Do you thing the Gov. made a fair & educated decision?
