Lotus Herbals says : A revolutionary, preservative free, light weight formulation containing potent herbal extracts which protects Collagen in the skin. UVA rays penetrate deep into skin and damage collagen, resulting in wrinkles. Once collagen is damaged it cannot re-build itself. In fact up to 80% of skin aging is caused by the sun.

Hydrolysed Soya Protein holds Collagen together in a firm and smooth way & helps combat sun-induced free-radical damage that can accelerate the signs of skin aging. The Aloevera extract hydrates & replenishes skin and also protects from other sun induced damages. The easy to blend texture gives a non-sticky and clean feel.
Collagen shield Sunblock with UVA & UVB Protection provides double protection. UVA +UVB research into skin damage by UV rays shows that: UVA rays damage collagen, resulting in wrinkles. In fact upto 80% of skin aging is caused by the sun. UVB Rays cause Sun burns, skin cancer etc.
Collagen shield Sunblock is free from harmful preservatives like parabens, which may cause health problems like breast caner.

Packaging : The product comes in a orange plastic tube packaging which is quite convenient and hygienic to use. It comes with a flip top opening which is sturdy and travel friendly. I mostly carry this with me while traveling and it had never opened and spoiled my bag.

Texture and experience : Thetextureof this product is absolutelynon-greasyandlightunlike other sunscreens. It is sandalwood colored and has light herbal fragrance, which is indeed soothing. The lotion is neither runny nor thicker. It is exactly as described by the company,spreadseasilyandabsorbsfastto give a non-greasymattelook. I will recommend this particular product to everyone who wants their sunscreen to give matte finish without over-drying the skin. My sister is Oily skinned and most of the time when her skin secretes more oil, she skips moisturizer and applies this, the finish is matte on her too.  It has never broken me or her out or irritated existing breakouts. It has a highSPFas well asUVAprotection(PA+++) which gives lasting protection and I generally do not need to reapply. It definitely precents tanning of skin.I do not use foundation everyday as this gives my skin a finished look. It can be used as a substitute for light coverage foundation. I just top it up with some loose powder and I’m ready to go. I am currently on my fifth tube and each tube of 120gms lasts you approximately around2 months.I highly recommended this to everyone!

Lotus Herbals Collagen Shield Sunblock SPF 90 PA++ is one of the best sunscreens I have used till date and keeps on purchasing. Easy to use packaging, affordable, non-greasy, high SPF and matte finish. I love everything about this sunscreen and has been my HG product and a must have this summers.Highly Recommnended!
