Where else would you get fabulous food, great ambiance, superb decor on the walls, good service, and that too within your budget? I am talking about Madaari Lounge at Model Town 3. If you live nearby say the area between GTB Nagar and Wazirpur, you must visit this new restaurant for an experience on its own. The location is easy to locate. It is right on your left at Model Town 3 red light (the first traffic signal) while driving from Azadpur to Delhi University on the ring road. In fact, it is just a walking distance from Azadpur Metro Station. You need to take the Model Town side exit gate rather than going the opposite side that is Azadpur Bus Terminal. The Google location is a little confusing. As it shows the Azadpur Metro Station Parking as the destination while using GPS.

But to locate it better, start walking towards Model Town when you come out of the Metro exit gate. That means walk towards your right, cross the metro parking area, and reach the first traffic signal. There you are. Madaari is just on your left, right on the traffic signal. In fact, it is the first building on the road as you turn left. That is the beginning of the market. Parking is not an issue here. As a matter of fact, the restaurant launch is tomorrow that is March 1. I was at its pre-launch event for food tasting. You get a warm welcome at the giant door and someone from the attending staff would escort you to your table. It has an interesting table arrangement.

You will really have a fun while dining here. Hard drinks license is yet to come. Till then enjoy mocktails with excellent presentation. And of course, the food. Hookahs are available at Madaari. The restaurant offers North Indian, Continental, and Chinese food. In veg starters, I would recommend Dahi Ke Kebab, Multani Paneer Tikka, Haryali Paneer Tikka, and Mushroom Galoti. In non-veg starters, you can try Murgh Malai Tikka, Murgh Jard Galafi, and Mutton Galoti Kebabs. These are from Indian starters. While in Chinese starters you must try Cigar Roll, Cheese Stuff Mushroom, and Lotus Honey in veg section. And in non-veg Chinese starters, my favorites are Chilli Garlic Fish and Golden Fried Prawns. Nothing special in other two soups as of now but Sweet Corn Chicken can be given a try.

In the main course at Madaari, Dal Makhani is good. While in non-veg I would prefer Mutton Rogan Josh. Chicken Pathai Noodle in Chinese has a typical taste. In addition, in the mocktails, go for your own choice. So is with desserts. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Madaari.
