…make Time

Posted on the 06 November 2011 by Zer @the2women

Good morning and welcome to another Sunday dual-perspective, and your bi-annual dose of time travel.  Daylight saving time has come to an end.  All of you who forgot, don’t panic.  You are not late for anything, you’re an hour ahead of yourself.  Congratulations.

Now.  What to do with that hour?

Don’t worry we have suggestions:

Zer: Sleep.

Stephanie: Sleep.

[Although you probably want more than that]

Stephanie: I suppose you could spend it discussing the validity (or lack there of…I have no strong opinion) of daylight saving time, but that seems like as much of a waste of time as some think the time change is to begin with.

Zer: Or you could be a little more productive than usual.  Perhaps you could reorganize your closet, bedroom or start with something smaller like a sock drawer.

Stephanie: Maybe it would be better spent solving some problem.  Climate change, economic turmoil, political discord, a lot can be discussed in an hour, but I suppose no real solution could be reached.  But does that mean we shouldn’t even try?

Zer: Of course, some of us might want to aim for something a little more attainable.  Something that can actually be accomplished in an hour.  You could dedicate that hour to a little “me” time.  Get a pedicure or manicure (or both).  Read a few chapters in that book you’ve been meaning to start for weeks.  Take a nap, possibly?

Stephanie: Really, there are few things more rewarding than a restful body.  Don’t think of it as laziness, think of it as resting up for your later activities.

Zer: It’s unanimous then.  Sleep wins.
