Making Room For My Bundle of Joy

No, I am not pregnant yet; and yes I will formally update you on where I am on the journey to becoming a mom on Friday.  However, I am making room for my future bundle of joy.
I own my home (Yay for home ownership! Boo for home maintenance!).  It is a duplex that I share with my mom. I have the second floor apartment.  My apartment has a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.  So where is my bundle of joy going to sleep???
Here is the plan. Lucky for me my mom is awesome and we get along great.  Also lucky for me there is one outside entrance to the house then two separate entrances to the apartments, so you can go from one apartment to the other without going outside.   The plan is for us to treat the house more like a single family home than a duplex.  My mom will share her living room with me. I am going to convert my now living room into my bed room.  My current bedroom will become my bundle of Joy's room. I spend most of my time at home in my mom's apartment anyway so this should not be too inconvenient.   I am still going to keep my own kitchen though.  I need to have some space that I don't share with my mom, that is not my bedroom, where I can sit and talk should I have a gentleman caller (yes I still plan to date and find my Mr. Joy Chaser after I become a mom).
I have looked at some furniture for my new bedroom online and gone to a

This does not look like kids furniture to me!

couple of stores.  This weekend I finally found some pieces that I really liked.  It is the Paris collection at Raymour and Flanagan.   I didn't purchase it yet because I needed to come home and take some measurements first.  When I got home I laughed out loud when I read the booklet the salesman gave me for the Paris collection.  It says "When it comes to your little princess, she deserves a bedroom that's fit for, well, a princess." That's when I realized the set I picked out was for kids, specifically a preteen girl.  Oh well my nieces will just have to be jealous because I'm still getting it.  Lol. I deserve to feel like a princess too right?
I feel kind of funny rearranging my home before I get a positive pregnancy test.  But, in the spirit of the law of attraction I am making room in my life now for what I want from the universe.  In the spirit of faith that God will answer my prayers, fulfill my maternal instinct, and bless me with motherhood I am making room for baby. I am making room for my bundle of Joy.
Have you ever physically prepared for the things you want before you received them? For example clearing out room for a nursery before you are pregnant (like me), purchasing decor for a home before you buy it, or maybe picking out wedding accouterments before you are engaged?
