Making Time For Me With BookBeat

Motherhood is, without a shadow of a doubt, the biggest blessing of my life. But ask any Mother and she will tell you that although she would never change it for the world, there are certain things that were once precious to her which have had to be put on the back burner a little while her children are young.
Unless you have an army of nannies and housekeepers then your life becomes a million times more chaotic when little ones arrive into it, and most of us tend to end up putting our own hobbies and interests last on the list of priorities.
For me, the thing I have missed the most since my children came along has to be reading. I have always been a book worm, ever since I first learned to read and before my first child was born I would happily get through 10 or more books every month.
But since becoming a mother, I would say I've read less than 10 books in the last 4 years!
I try to find ways to change this all of the time - I promise myself that I'll set aside an hour every evening to read and unwind, and sometimes I will manage that for a couple of nights but then something always crops up - one of the children will get sick, I'll have an extra load of work to do - and the first thing to be sacrificed in my struggle to keep on top of everything is my reading time.
But I think I've finally found a way to resolve the problem with the help of technology - this month I've been introduced to BookBeat, a digital streaming service that allows you to find and listen to audiobooks straight from your mobile phone.

There are thousands of titles available, from classics to new releases, and what I really love about BookBeat's service is that you download the audiobooks and listen to them wherever you are - even without a wifi connection. As travel bloggers we spend a lot of time traveling in the car to various days out, and although I would love to be able to spend those hours catching up on my reading - I can't because I get travel sick if I try to read in a moving vehicle. But now I can spend that time listening to audiobooks on BookBeat instead, meaning those hours in the car are no longer wasted but are spent getting some me time to do something that I enjoy.
I've also been using BookBeat while cooking the family meals in the evening and while taking my end of day bath too, which is just fantastic and so very relaxing. I'm currently half way through Cecelia Ahern's "How To Fall In Love" and loving it!

BookBeat costs just £14.90 per month and you can listen to as much as you want, there are no limitations - you can also cancel your account at any time.
If you're interested in trying out this fantastic service, you can sign up here to get a One Month Free Trial rather than the standard 2 weeks - You could get through an awful lot of books in that month so it's well worth a try!
