Today has been a very productive Thursday. At University we had a full day on using disperse dyes to create an image that would then be printed onto a T-shirt using a heat press. I made 3 Manga style faces pulling different expressions: happy, angry and sad. My first attempt (the vest top) didn't come out very well and looked a bit faded and had no detail on it, so I was then told to re-work the design and add the lines to it for the second attempt (top and bottom photo) and it came out very bright and with the detail as well.
I am pretty happy with this result considering it is my first attempt at trying this properly. I hope tomorrow I can try a screen print of my 3 designs on to another t-shirt. I will be sure to do a post on my Illustration Blog in the future to explain more about the process to you all.
