"Maniac" Monday!

Posted on the 07 November 2011 by Hpranitis @_thisandthat_
It's a weekend recap sort of day.  Oh, and need I forget a girlie evening: leftovers, Terranova, Hart of Dixie, blogging, and face mask.
Hi everyone!  I'm glad today's Monday because I have a short week.  Yes, I do...  I'm taking a few days of vacation and heading to Michigan to see my Dad and Chicago to see friends and family.  I'll be staying with my 2 great friends, Bill and Brenna, and there fabulous daughter Ms. Lily.  It's a short trip but, quality time will be spent with very special people.
I'm really excited about this time off.  Very!  Honestly, I'm in need of a few days of R-n-R.  I've been working on Blondie's Shop like a crazy person for the Believe Boutique.  Well, I must say that my very first boutique was a success and a learning experience all-in-one.  You always learn something the first time that you do something.  My display is one of the first things that will be revamped.  It's important that a prospective client can readily identify what I am selling and be attracted to my product.  So, it's a work-in-progress for next time.  I did sell several scarves and a bunch of cards.  Yay me!  Anyhow, presentation is everything.  Participating in this boutique really was a fabulous experience for me.  I think it's always a tad bit hard when someone is looking at your work and telling you whether they like it or not...however, I think I dealt with the criticism rather well.  And I was really flattered by some of the comments.  A special shout out and thank you to all of those that visited Blondie's Shop at the Believe Boutique.
After the boutique Bern helped me pack everything up and unload it at my place.  Then I packed my overnight bag and headed over to the parents house for my dog-sitting duties for Bunny (5 month old Maltese puppy) and Princess (9 years old Maltese).  Basically, in a nutshell I had my hands full.  The puppy is now called Crazy Bunny.  And he is crazy.  Typical puppy behavior.  Let's just say the chewing, biting, and jumping was a lot to deal with after a long 2-days working a boutique.  Anyhow, the best part was the dogs going at each other.  And let's just say that going to bed wasn't as easy I thought it would be.  The dogs were crazy...anyhow, it's all good now.  Let's just say they didn't sleep on the bed with me either.  Nope, they didn't and were not behaving at all.  So, I banned them to the floor and removed the steps to the bed.  Sleepy-time does not mean play time.  However, they thought otherwise...it was actually kind of funny.  The best part was that the next morning after being woken up at 2 a.m., 4 a.m. and then approximately 8 a.m. I got out of bed and let the dogs outside...but, wait...the best part is coming!  I stepped in dog poop as I let them out, priceless.  I was barely awake and like OMG your kidding!!!!  I "cleansed" my foot and the floor and started my day.  Rounded out the day with lunch and dinner with the grandparents (and the dogs).
Although my weekend was jam packed it was a lot of fun.  Now, I am looking forward to a few days with no responsibilities or duties.  And no laundry!  I did about 5 loads of my laundry while at the parents so, it was all good.  My time was well spent.
Alrighty, have a fabulous Monday!  I hope you have a great week.  Any fun plans?
