March Foodie PenPals and 500 Crunches DONE

Posted on the 30 March 2012 by Mattie @comfyconfident

Happy Friday Everyone! It’s almost April… That Sh*t Cray!

As the month raps up, it’s time to reveal our that Lindsay so graciously organizes and coordinates each month.

This month the lovely Casey over at the Daily Dose of FitYoga sent me a great package full of yummy treats.

There was all sorts of yummy Vegan treats.
As I have said a million times, I am slightly obsessed with trail mix, so I was so excited to receive this Seed and Fruit Mix from Enjoy Life Foods. It doesn’t have any nuts in it, for those with allergies but tasted just as good. I didn’t miss the nuts one bit.

Casey also sent along Kale Chips. I have never gotten into the Kale craze that a lot of healthy living people have, but I have tried to make Kale Chips before and they were delicious so I was excited to try these. They were good, and really convenient, but if I were to choose I think I’d stick with the homemade Kale Chips. If you do try these, be careful the Chili Lime is super spicy – and I like spice!

Awwww Justin’s Peanut Butter Cups! You absolutely can not go wrong when you have the delicious organic peanut butter mixed with high quality organic dark chocolate.  It is Peanut Butter Cup Perfection. I will take these over Reese’s any day!

And now, the best part of the package wasn’t even food! Casey sent me this hand “manicure” lotion from her own spa business. [Casey- what's the name of your business??]

You have to mix it up, take a spoonful and rub it on your hands for a couple minutes. Rinse with warm water and your hands will feel as smooth as a baby’s butt!! I have been talking about getting a manicure for ages, so this was the perfect fix. Thanks Casey!!!

I sent my package over to Kayla at Sproutybuns.com and it included a bunch of healthy snacks from the Natural Products Expo West I attended. Check it out!

In case you’re a interested in participating in the Foodie PenPal  program is all about:

-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. Yesterday Bess challenged everyone to do 500 crunches throughout the day. I gladly took on the challenge. I mean, who doesn’t like to do a little extra ab work!

To complete the 500 reps I made myself a little circuit to complete.
Try it out and feel the burn!

I will put up my workout round up for the week later today, but I thought it was too much to post all at once.

Have a great Friday!
