Marriage and Relationship Goals - June 2014 - Change My View

This has been one of my favorite linkups that I am involved in mostly because it involves marriage and relationships. My "new year's resolution" was one word, better. We (my husband and I) are at a point in our lives where we feel like we have some not so healthy relationships in our lives. We are always having to say sorry for things that we don't feel we should apologize for, being the person, or not voicing our opinions about things in fear that we would make them mad or upset. I'm the least confrontational person and hate rocking the boat.
So this year we are striving on OUR end to create meaningful relationship with people. At the end of the year if nothing materializes and real relationship aren't formed then peace out. I know it sounds mean but it's not meant to be. We have already decided that there is a couple that we don't talk to anymore. It's just better that I move on without these people. I have put myself out there so many times with nothing in return. Also I'm not even sure why they are mad at us or what I did that was so horrible.
But marriage relationship is something that I need to work on. We have been married 3 years in April. We have been through a lot in our 3 years and been all over the spectrum. Also during the season it is hard to connect with each other. Last homestand I felt like I rarely talked with him beside good morning, good night, what time to set the alarm? June is going to be a tough month because they have a lot going on at the ballpark.
I'm doing a 30 day marriage devotional. My goal is to start AND finish the devotional. It's called the LOVE HIS WAY by Sara Horn. I'm excited to see how it changes me and how I view things.
