Massage the Mind as Well as the Body!

Posted on the 27 July 2013 by Sparklesandstretchmarks @raine_fairy
There are few things in life more relaxing and rewarding than a really good massage, and one technique I have come to favour over the years is the Kahuna massage.
Massage the mind as well as the body!
Kahuna massage comes from Polynesia and its aim is to allow energy to flow freely throughout the body.
There are a number of unique elements in kahuna massage....The massage therapist uses their hands, forearms and elbows during the massage and moves around the table using flowing hula-style and tai chi-style movements while giving soft and deep tissue massage.
The experience is very unusual and will leave you wondering if the therapist has 4 hands as they seem to be able to be in many different places at once!  Long, deep pressure strokes and movements are used, rather than the traditional short strokes used in many other types of massage.  These long, flowing strokes are deeply relaxing as they continuously flow over your body like a wave - working in tune with music that is played during the massage, the two combine to give a feeling of pure relaxation.
The massage balances various energy systems within the body, and can be very spiritually healing as well as physically soothing.
The therapist adjusts the massage in order to harmonise the rhythms within the client’s body, mind, and soul.
This is truly an amazing massage experience and one which cannot be equalled!
Relax Your Life are a highly recommended Kahuna massage practitioner based at the Natural Health Centre (near Holborn and Chancery Lane tube station) - to take a look at their services or enquire about a massage, visit their website - http://www.relaxyourlife.eu/
