Maunsel House Wedding Photographer: The Wedding Ceremony

Posted on the 31 May 2016 by Belinda Mccarthy @b_mccarthyphoto

It's time to take you back to a lovely wintery wedding... and yes, that means staying indoors all day for this particular celebration at Maunsel House in Somerset! I've had the opportunity quite a few times now, to be a Maunsel House wedding photographer, and luckily it's just a beautiful inside as outside, so the bad weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits.

I have to say, though, I don't think anything could have taken the beaming smiles off the faces of this bride and groom, for they were absolutely ecstatic all day long! This beautiful Naval wedding was such a total pleasure to photograph, for not only did they look epically stunning, they were such a wonderful couple to work for and to photograph.

Sometimes, at wedding ceremonies, as the wedding photographer you're working in a room which is packed to the brim with guests and therefore you have very few locations you can actually photograph from. Sometimes, you even only have one, that being at the back of the room. At this Maunsel House wedding, we just about had two locations to work from, but it's vital as a photographer that you don't move around too much during the ceremony and run the risk of being obtrusive or disruptive to the proceedings. So, in these instances, I will often start at the front of the room so I can capture the processional - and their faces as they see each other for the first time - and then move to the back in order to give the couple some space and ensure that they get to enjoy the ceremony without feeling that they're being photographed.

With that in mind. let's take a look at some of my favourite shots from this wonderful wedding ceremony at Maunsel House, where the rain did its worst but could never have taken the shine off the day! What a fabulous and emotive wedding ceremony this was to photograph; truly one of my favourites of recent times. Enjoy!
