All was not lost, though. I did pay attention to small changes I could make like the famous parking far away from a store entrance trick. I did take stairs more regularly and even used my back stairs as a piece of exercise equipment.
I didn’t, however, do my sessions of 20 straight minute of exercise for 4 of the 7 days of this week.
Unless, I pause to reflect, sex counts. Which it could, I suppose, count as cardio but it isn’t consistently rigorous for twenty straight minutes.
Do I feel like a failure? No and yes. I’m here talking about my lack of accomplishments. I’m here to say my eating stayed in check. I am here to say I didn’t go completely unconscious.
These are all marks of success - in one way.
So, as Scarlet O’Hara said, “Tomorrow is another day!” so off I go to do some more dancing and walking and prancing and skipping. Oh, and I found a great Wonderama Memory from my childhood with “Bob” leading everyone in jumping jacks. A couple of the little girls you see are wearing almost the exact same jumper I was wearing the day I got my period only theirs are a red plaid and my infamous jumper was yellow and gray plaid.
Oh, the things we remember.
