Maybe I Should've Been a Food Blogger

Simple enough, right? I think that's all there is to life. Do. What. You. Love. When you do what you love and love what you do you've just put on your cape and you're ready for takeoff. What do I love? Family, travel, adventure, firefighting, great friends, good music, girls, and Guinness (not necessarily in that order). Wait.. did I mention food?

I tried out the new Buffalo Wings & Rings Wednesday for lunch. It's a great location, (the old Utopia which was very popular a few years back), and I was excited to try out the wings. Maldonado, Shelby and myself decided to try several flavors of their boneless wings. We sat at the bar and ordered. The wings were good sized portions, but the flavor just wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. The wings that were supposed to be 'hot' were only Louisiana Hot Sauce hot, meaning not very hot. We ended up asking for a batch of 6 of the absolute hottest wings they made. Those were better and definitely had a kick. All in all it just wasn't as good as Buffalo Wild Wings, but there's still the rest of the menu to try. I'll give it a chance.

I spent the rest of the afternoon and night at Lucky's. Blonde bartenders and regulars at the bar buying me beers will always equal an extended stay for Eric and keep me coming back. That and a steady rotation of my friends showing up. (Special thanks to Maldonado, Shelby, Brucey Bruce, and Josie the food pornographer for helping fill all those hours at Lucky's with enjoyment. Oh, and of course thanks to Virginia and Mandy for slangin' the beer). Sorry, no evidence pictures to show off.

Note to self: Panda Express Drive Thru friggin rules. Note to self processing... Note to self accepted. #MyInsidesAreHappy

I did find a winner today when I tried out Panda Express (which instantly went up a couple notches with their convenient drive thru). First of all, I love Chinese food and this was really good and surprisingly fast and priced right. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Beijing beef with fried rice. (Note to self: Buy a DeLorean. Go back in time and become a food blogger. Good god I'd be getting paid for exactly what I'm doing now. It's ok, the key here is the DeLorean. Anyway, back to the food..) Dee-Lish-us. I do believe I've found a new favorite spot.

Tomorrow is an easy Sunday at work. I love Sundays at work. Tailboard on Ladder 7. Another day in paradise. Now, enjoy the flying people of New York and some Pearl Jam.

This had nothing to do with anything, but I loved it and had to throw it in ;) Later days..
