I've always said how much I love taking part on the last day of every month with the Me and Mine link up. I tried to join in during 2014 but I kept forgetting to take a family photo, I was forever taking pictures but it was rare that we were ALL in them. And then Lucy from Dear Beautiful, the lovely lady and blogger that created Me and Mine asked if I'd like to become a co-host and I jumped at the chance knowing full well that as a co-host of the link-up I'd HAVE to remember to get at least one photograph a month with us all in it.
Honestly I was so excited about starting a brand new year knowing that I was going to end the year with a sort of family portrait time line. Being pregnant with Logan, I was excited for the moment that I'd be able to make a collage of our photographs at the end of the year and look back at how we'd grown from a family of three to a family of four. And so here we are - this is that moment.
Since having the boys and particularly since Logan was born, life often feels like it's going so incredibly fast. Sometimes it leaves my head in a bit of a spin and then other times I feel like I'm okay, like I've got my head above the water. Taking part in this link-up provides me with the same feeling that my monthly montage videos that I started in September do. They give me a way to slow it all down, to remember the little ordinary moments and details that can so easily be forgotten. Looking back at my Me and Mine captures for 2015 provides me with a way of remembering what I was doing each month. I can remember taking the photos and I remember how I felt and what life was like behind the camera at the time each photograph was taken.
Me and Mine is a link-up that I am proud to be a part of. I know that the lovely Lucy has some awesome plans for it next year and we hope to see the already large number of families taking part grow even more.
