After yesterdays post, I'm relieved to sit and write a much more upbeat happier sort of post. It's one of my favorite posts to write actually - Me and Mine, a blog link-up that I co-host with a bunch of particularly lovely fellow blogging friends of mine. I love that so many people join in, non-bloggers included via platforms such as instagram and facebook, it's just so lovely to see happy smiley photographs of people with their families and I'm particularly fond of the ones that are of families standing or sitting somewhere that they've been that month or some place that is special to them. I love photographs that sort of tell a story even before you've gotten to read any text.
My photograph this month is from the day that I turned 27, my family and I were at Whipsnade Zoo watching the elephants, there was a baby elephant amongst the adults and it was incredibly sweet just watching them all together. I feel like my photograph certainly does tell a story this month and actually I think that it tells it's story rather perfectly. It's saying that within this photograph there are two little boys who have beyond zero interest in having their picture taken, clearly there are far more important things to be doing at the zoo rather than standing about in front of a bunch of equally uninterested elephants posing for selfies and to be honest, I think that's pretty fair. Though Mama does like a good old family selfie! Ah well - at least their Dad and I have got our family selfie pose going on!
September's been a good month for us. Sure it's had it's ups and downs, I had some work news that we need to deal with and what happened to Adam Monday night was a totally awful moment for us, one that he's still recovering from, but the other days of September have been mostly kind to us. This month I decided to start making monthly montage videos of clips that we've taken as a family throughout the month. I've already made Septembers and it will be uploaded to my playlist over on Channel Mum tomorrow (the 1st October). I hope people will like watching them as I feel it gives a better insight into our every day family life rather than me just sitting in front of a camera talking every time. I like the idea of doing a mix of both and to be totally honest I really really enjoy putting them together and knowing that I will always be able to look back on these sorts of videos with fond memories. When it's live tomorrow, I will embed the video on the bottom of this post, so if you'd like to see it please do check back. :)
This month I recommend taking a peak at my lovely fellow co-host Fritha's blog - I love seeing her family's Me and Mine shot every month and it's always lovely to see how much her baby bump has grown.
