So here we are in August!! I swear the years go by faster with each passing one, I haven't even managed to stop writing 2016 when I fill in forms yet and somehow the year is almost over?!
Maybe it seems to be zooming past because of the fact that life lately has been rather hectic (which is reflected in the fact that this post is going up a day late...I had the photos all ready, I just didn't have time to write and publish a post until now...almost midnight on 31st!)
To be honest, life has always been hectic - I don't really think it's possible to have 3 babies in the space of 3 years without adding some degree of chaos to your life - but it feels like somehow the "crazy" has stepped up a gear lately, and I'm not too sure why.
Maybe it's my workload being busier than before, maybe it's just the fact that these little boys of mine are no longer babies but very active little monkeys who NEVER want to sit still and are always hell bent on running off in different directions wherever we go - something that is hard enough with just two children, but have you ever tried it with 3 of them?! Being outnumbered on the child/adult ratio makes life VERY challenging!
But it also means that there is literally never a dull moment - there's never really time to get bored, there is always something going on - life is always busy but at there are always lots of laughs to be had with these three around!
This month we took our photos somewhat last minute, a couple of days before the end of the Month - I had wanted to recreate one of my favorite family photos from last year...this one which we took down at one of our local parks which is near some pretty beach huts...
Unfortunately, we timed it all wrong and the sun was behind the huts when we tried to take our photo - meaning the lighting was awful and the result was some very noisy photos! But oh well, at least we tried and it's still lovely to be able to compare how much the boys have changed in the space of a year.
Once we realised the light wasn't going to be our friend, we turned the camera around and took some snaps in front of the sea instead....of course none of the children wanted to stop playing and take a photo, so as always - the results are...how shall I put it...interesting?! (I have no idea what is going on with Tyne's face!!)
Maybe we'll try again next month, but for now - I quite like the seaside ones! I've learnt over the years that the quality of the photo doesn't matter, it's capturing your children in each stage of their life that is so very precious.
