Can you BELIEVE that it's already the end of September?! I feel as though 2019 has been quite the "Blink and you missed it" sort of year.
It doesn't feel like five minutes since I packed away the Christmas decorations, and already the shops are full of Halloween bits and it'll be no time at all before the dreaded Christmas tunes start blaring out from Asda stores across the land.
I won't lie though - I'm not sad to see the back of the summer, I never am. I struggle with the summer months thanks to my health conditions which are both made worse by the heat, and so I find it difficult to enjoy.
Autumn has always been my favorite time of year though, and so I'm only too happy to be packing away the strappy vests and pulling out the floral tea dresses and ankle boots from storage.
Having said that - although I'm not a fan of summer itself, we DID have a pretty brilliant one this year.
We had lovely family holiday to Cornwall - which is always one of our favourites places to go to as it's such a short and pleasant drive away, and there's always so much to do there for families.
We also managed to squeeze in a few days in London doing some sightseeing, and we had an amazing week in Italy enjoying gorgeous weather too.
We've made so many fantastic memories to look back on over the last few months, and I've really started to feel as though life with three children is becoming much more straight forward and easier to manage now that the children are that little bit older.
We don't need to take pushchairs away with us anymore, we don't need to worry about having loads of nappies and baby wipes with us and the children are much more content to play together and keep themselves entertained without relying on us to keep them busy quite as much so family holidays and days out feel like much more of an opportunity for relaxation and unwinding as a family now.
At the start of this year, I was questioning whether or not we should have a fourth baby. Something that Jon & I were always so undecided on. I'm one of those people who is constantly broody and Jon is very much the same!
But I have to admit that with things feeling so much calmer and more settled now, I've started to feel lately as though five might well be the magic number for our family. The only person who's unhappy about this is Noah - who is absolutely determined that we "need more babies", to the point that she's taken to telling family members that Mummy is having another baby! That's always a fun conversation to have!
But unfortunately for Noah, I don't think it's very likely to happen - certainly not over the next year or so anyway. We're looking forward to another year of adventures and travel together next year, with our fingers firmly crossed that a visit to Disney World Florida may well be on the cards. Such an exciting prospect!
And so with a treasure trove of beautiful summer memories to keep us warm this winter, we're looking forward to what the final months of 2019 bring.
I hope summer 2019 was a good one for you and yours, too.
