Photo MEDIA DRESSES
Ive been walking past this poster for days now, thinking I must take a photo for my blog. This advertisment for the FNAC summer sale is pretty cool in my book. It depicts technology and media as fashion items which - after spending almost a months salary on new laptop this afternoon & given that i took the photo with my Blackberry - i would definitely agree with.
My personal favorite is the middle right one. The cable makes a pretty good tutu and i like the way that the consols flatter the bust shape. The paper dress also works because it looks like you could actually wear it. Im not so keen on the Disks one because it reminds me of the Paco Rabanne chain-mail dress which ive never really liked & the left one doesnt seam to be wearable, though the use of tactile screens (ipones or ipads or something) says “touch me” which is kinda cool.
Technology worn as fashion is nothing unusual these days - as Lady Gaga, for example, has proved on many an occasion, so its quite smart and hip for the Book/music store market themselves this way.
FNAC is like the French version of Virgin Magastores or HMV. Zoom
