His second choice was unfortunate. As nearly the last one from his group to choose, all the rotations that were near us were gone. The first rotation, Family Medicine, will be at a hospital 45 minutes away. That's one annoying commute at 6am in the summer. His second rotation (Pediatrics) is four hours away for 6 weeks. At first we were really bummed about such a long distance - we finally just got adjusted to being with each other. Overall, I think it's good for him to be at a hospital in a city we might potentially choose for residency. OB and Psych will be back in our town just in time for my second mini tax season.
So, as part of our Valentine's Day weekend- since we just stayed in that night, we went to a brewery with some college friends and spent the night laughing and drinking good beer.
We also went to see the newest Die Hard movie, which wasn't very good. I never saw any besides the first one, so have no idea if this was a gradual decline or a sudden drop in the quality of Die Hard.
Regardless of the crappy movie, these friends are the same people that went to weekly trivia night in college where I met M. It's like a tight knit family of men and me, the token female. It feels great to all get together so often even though we've been out of school nearly three years.
I wish all nights ended with me laughing in stitches with friends.
