Meet Two Face.

So a few weeks ago I did this to my car:
Meet Two Face.

I know. Isn't it lovely? I will get to the actual story a bit later, as it involves Office Boy. (Surprise, surprise!) That post in the Saga will be coming on Saturday, don't worry. All shall be revealed in due course.
Anyway. So after I got into this accident, we had to figure out what to do with my car.
It's a 1999 Toyota Camry and with its mileage is only worth about $2700. The first estimate we got for the repairs necessary was $2400. Only $300 less than what the car's worth? We figured we may as well just look for a new used car that wasn't too expensive and had not a ton of miles. The goal was to find something that would last me another three or four years, which would give me enough time to pay my parents back for the new used car (because I don't have the money in my bank account to buy a car without leasing it which is not happening) and then save up to purchase a much newer car, probably in the neighborhood of only one or two years old.
So I searched. For two weeks. And we got nothing. I called about two major steals, but both times the car had already been sold. Once, literally about 30 minutes before I called. Everything else seemed like a good deal but there was always some issue.
By the end of the two weeks, I was frustrated. I was tired of looking for cars and the rental car bill that kept growing didn't make me feel any better. So my dad took the car to his mechanic for another estimate. He said he could do it for $1600-$1800. Hallelujah.
I said absolutely, yes, I'd do it for that. We dropped the car off. They started the repairs. They found a crack in the radiator (so glad they found it and I didn't discover it one day while driving!). But in the end, it only cost about $1900 to do all the estimated repairs and replace the radiator. I was soooo thankful.
The catch?
My car is now four different colors.
Yes. You read that correctly. Four different colors.
They had to replace the left fender and the front bumper. My car is gold and according to my dad, the back bumpers on this model faded. So the back bumper is not quite as gold as the rest of the car, the left fender is black, the front bumper is silver, and the rest of the car is gold.
Office Boy has affectionately nicknamed him "Two Face."
So, ladies and gents, meet Two Face...
Meet Two Face.

Happy Thursday to you all. :)
