Melting Moments Monday – Gugs

My Dora is very independent. She doesn’t run to me when she hurts herself like I see the other babies in the park doing. She doesn’t particularly like being held or cuddled for too long. She will always buck and squirm out of a ‘mummy squeeze hug.’  I’m forever stealing my kisses and hugs from her… However, the last few weeks she has been pushing her toys into the nape of her neck, tilting her head and saying “gug.” Perhaps she had mistaken me for one of her toys but a couple of times in the past few days she has asked me for gugs too. I absolutely made the most of it and gave her a big squeeze. I hope my over zealous reply doesn’t deter her. I love gugs.
