Yesterday I went into the hospital to meet my new niece. She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. As I held her it bought back all the memories of the first time I held my babies, B1 and B2.
As I took her from my dad for my first cuddle I was amazed at how light she was compared to my now 12 kg bubbas, who were once smaller and lighter than darling niece is.
There were many heart melting moments during my visit. One being seeing my little sister with her new baby. She is going to be an amazing mother. Another was watching my dad with his third grandchild, and then sharing this special moment with my older sister too.
I watched thinking of the times we had ahead of us in the future, picturing her playing with B1 and B2, imagining the amazement on their faces when they see her for the first time.
Holding this beautiful little girl, brand new to the world, I thought of how I was going to be the best aunty I could possibly be for her.
She truly melted my heart.
Ang
