2} 15 Months! Little C turned 15 months yesterday. He's definitely not a little baby anymore. I miss the baby stage but I'm loving the little toddler age too. He's learning more every day and able to interact more, so it's a lot of fun!
3} Mission Trip?? Yesterday at church a list of 2012 church mission trips were announced. I've wanted to go on a mission trip for quite awhile. Of course that was out of the question for a couple years since I was pregnant or had a little baby for the past 2-3 years. Now that the kids are a little older we're thinking that maybe we can go next year! Of course right now it's just an idea. It's a lot to think about and pray about. We'd have to raise a lot of money and find baby-sitters for up to 2 weeks. I'm really excited about the idea of going although I know the time may not be quite right for us. We'll see.....
4} Christmas Decorations. I put up a few decorations yesterday! I'm so excited! I've never really gotten on board with the traditional red and green decorations. For one thing it doesn't match my every day decor. I've mentioned that I love coastal holiday decorations and that's the look I'm going with this year. Nothing over done. Just a little greenery, a few coastal ornaments, white candles, a few white decorative starfish and shells. I'm looking forward to putting up a few more things and maybe I'll post pictures soon! I also want to make a wreath for our front door and possibly a very unique Christmas tree!
5} Homemade Gifts and Holiday Crafts. Are you making any homemade gifts this year?? I'd love to make a few gifts but I don't know what. I would have to find something simple and easy! I'd like to do some crafts too {maybe make a wreath} and find some fun crafts for Bug to do too.
6} Craft Essentials. I see projects I'd like to do all the time but I never had the stuff on hand. I'd love to figure out what basics I should start collecting. I'm thinking Modge Podge, fabric glue... and what else?? Maybe I should do another post on this.
7} Dumb Tattoo. Back in the day I impulsively got a tattoo in what I thought was in honor of this guy I had just broken up with but still thought I loved.... loong story. Anyway, turns out what I thought were {at the time} meaningful Hebrew numbers are not numbers at all. My tattoo actually spells out J-O-S-E in English/Spanish.... and in Hebrew my tattoo spells out "contract". {Dang, how very meaningful.} I obviously did not research my decision very throughly. I ran into an Israeli couple this past weekend and they asked about my tattoo, then told me what it really means! Ha! I'm glad I can laugh about it because it's there to stay. I told my husband he just needs to change his name to Jose!
Well, that's all my misc. thoughts of the moment. We've had a busy day around here... kids awake at the crack of down, breakfast, a quick trip to Starbucks and they were back down for a couple hours. Then off to buy 3 pairs of Craigslist shoes for Bug and a little shopping trip to Kid To Kid where I found a few goodies! Back home for lunch, playing and late naps. It's a cloudy, cold beautiful wintery kind of day today. I'm looking forward to staying home this evening for a cozy evening at home.
Hope everyone's having a great Monday!!!
