1} This is seriously the longest month ever while we're waiting for our house to close! I seems like it should be April by now. But things are going smoothly and we hope to close on or before March 7. We're super excited!!
2} Both kids have a check-ups tomorrow afternoon. This is the first time I've scheduled their check-ups together. I'm not sure if having the appointments together is a good idea or just plain crazy!!
3} I really need to stay off Craigslist!! Every week I find one or two {or three or more} things that I just HAVE to have!! We're getting the kids Little Tikes Cozy Coupes {pink for Bug, red for C} off Craigslist to surprise them with when we move into the new house. Once we have a garage and driveway for them to play in I know they'll have a blast in their little cars. :) Or if for some reason everything falls through we'll just surprise them here at the apartment.
4} I spent this morning cleaning and organizing one of my friend's garages. It might sound crazy but stuff like that is a lot of fun for me! Honestly, if I could I'd love to organize closets or something for a living. My friend watched my kids while I cleaned and she sent my kids home with a pretty cool Little People car garage set that her boys have outgrown. The kids love it and C finally has a few more "boy" toys to play with. It seems like almost everything is girly around here.
5} More about our {hopefully} new house.... I'm so excited to be able to decorate a boy and a girl room! I just found this bedding {off Craiglist, where else?} for Bug. These are colors I was looking for... bright and cheery and girly and fun! I have tons of ideas for her room. I've always wanted to do a "vintage transportation" theme for a little boy's room but the more I try to figure that theme out the more muddled I get. There are so many vintage transportations things out there for boys and I really don't have an exact "look" in mind... more like a general idea. The house has 3 bedrooms and if/when we have a third child I want to stick Bug & C back in the same room for awhile and for the first time actually decorate a nursery. You can tell I'm full of ideas for this new house. :)
6} All my lofty goals for the New Year have almost fallen by the wayside. They're still goals and I've been working on them, just a little. I guess it's probably good to take things slow so they become habits. Maybe? Sounds good, right.
7} Have you ever NOT wanted a toddler to be potty trained? I'm trying to discourage C from going potty! We put him in training pants several days ago and he kept them dry all right but he was on the potty, literally, almost every 5 minutes for 2 hours straight! We were going crazy. He doesn't know how to empty his bladder all at once. Ha! Poor kid.. he wants to go potty so bad and we're just like "Nope, pee in your diaper!" But, well, he's standing here half naked right now, asking to go potty, so I guess I better wrap this post up!
