Bahadur Shah Zafar was the last Mughal ruler of India. He was also the poet and has wrote many famous poems. This is one of them in which he describes a condition of reciprocal love or the condition where both the lover and beloved experience the same emotions. Love should be reciprocal to you and to me,
Its sorrow or joy happen to you and to me.
ग़नीमत तुम इसे समझो कि इस ख़ुम-ख़ाने में यारो,नसीब इक दम दिल-ए-ख़ुर्रम हमें भी हो तुम्हे भी हो। Ghanimat Tum Ise Samjho Ki Iss Khum-Khane Mein Yaro,Naseen Ik Dam Dil-e-Khurram Hamein Bhi Ho Tumhe Bhi Ho.
Friends consider it a pleasure that in this tavern,
sudden happy heart of destiny happen to you and to me.
दिलाओ हज़रत-ए-दिल तुम न याद-ए-ख़त-ए-सब्ज़ उस का,कहीं ऐसा न हो ये सम हमें भी हो तुम्हे भी हो। Dilao Hazrat-e-Dil Tum Na Yaad-e-Khat-e-Sabz Us Ka,Kahin Aisa Na Ho Ye Sam Hamein Bhi Ho Tumhe Bhi Ho.
Dear heart you don't remind us that youthfulness,
lest the problem happen to you and to me.
हमेशा चाहता है दिल कि मिल कर कीजे मय-नोशी,मयस्सर जाम-ए-मय-ए-जम-जम हमें भी हो तुम्हे भी हो। Hamesha Chahata Hai Dil Ki Mil Kar Kije May-Noshi,Mayassar Jaam-e-May-e-Jam-Jam Hamein Bhi Ho Tumhe Bhi Ho.
I always desire to have drink together,
the jiggling-wiggling glass of wine is available to you and to me.
हम अपना इश्क़ चमकाएं तुम अपना हुस्न चमकाओ,कि हैरां देख कर आलम हमें भी हो तुम्हे भी हो। Hum Apna Ishq Chamkaen Tum Apna Husn Chamkao,Ki Hairan Dekh Kar Aalam Hamein Bhi Ho Tumhe Bhi Ho.
I polish my love, you brighten your beauty,
So the world is astonished to see you and to me.
रहे हिर्स-औ-हवा दाइम अज़ीज़ों साथ जब अपने,न क्यूँकर फ़िक़्र-ए-बेश-ओ-कम हमें भी हो तुम्हे भी हो। Rahe Hirs-o-Hawa Daaim Azizon Saath Jab Apne,Na Kyunkar Fiqr-e-Besh-o-Kam Hamein Bhi Ho Tumhe Bhi Ho.
When dear ones 'greed & desire' always remain with us,
then why not the worries about less or more happen to you and to me.
'ज़फर' से कहता है मजनू कहीं दर्द-ए-दिल महज़ूँ,जो ग़म से फुरसत अब एक दम हमें भी हो तुम्हे भी हो। 'Zafar Se Kehta Hai Majnu Kahin Dard-e-Dil Mehzun,Jo Gham Se Fursat Ab Ek Dam Hamein Bhi Ho Tumhe Bhi Ho.
Majnu everywhere share his heart's grief to 'Zafar',
that relief from sorrow at this moment happen to you and to me.
