I have felt less than motivated to do any spiritually evolving blog posts yet, I have been inspired to revamp my Four-Legged Mom blog a bit and become more risque, snarky, and more my true self.
Is this a good thing? It can be, depending on how my readers look at it. I feel I have a good idea on my readers personalities there that they won't mind the snarkiness, but rather embrace it and join right in!
However, along with snarkiness comes criticism and I need to be able to deal with it. Briefly, I sat outside on my new back deck and asked my Gods and Goddesses for the strength to deal with any criticism or negativity that comes my way.
I think it worked! For today, when I stopped at the Dollar Store to pick up Titan some bones (and by the way, scored 4 t-shirts and a pair of cool gem'd flip flops at half price), I met some ignorance by the cashier.
He was curious about why I bought so many bones. These lil drumstix, my boy loves. They are about 3-4 inches long, chicken drumstix. He loves them! I use them for when he comes in after pottying and for when we leave the house.
Anyway, I mentioned my boy LOVES these drumstix!
Him: "What is he?"
Me: "American Bulldog and American Staffordshire."
He seemed a tad confused so I just threw it out there.
Me: "Pit Bull." smile
Him: "Oh"
....end of conversation. ARGH!! I know I run into this type of ignorance all the time but dang it! "Oh"? Maybe I should have "Oh'd" his toothless self!
But instead....
Me: "Oh yeah, gotta keep him happy. He's a pretty big boy." smile snark smile
So today, my Gods and Goddesses gave me strength not to pull this idiot over the counter and show him how the Pit Bull's MOMMA bites, but I didn't. Shrugged it off and left. :)
I tell you what, if I had my Mjolnir around my neck, home boy might have gotten THE HAMMER! :
:)
