Next Monday, the 12th of August, at 4 pm, me and my longtime companion will hop on our crappy car and head on to the City Hall. It took me rather long to decide on this, no less than ...13 years. Some of you might know a bit about my aversion towards the idea of marriage from previous blog posts (To bride or not to bride, Somebody's wife) and..yet I've managed to ignore all that and set a date. 
Nobody can explain why I am so friggin' scared about weddings, not even my friend, the shrink. I must be missing the bloody bride gene. First of all, as I've mentioned before, I hate all that cute, frilly, puffy, lacy, veily crap. I like seeing it on other ladies, but not on myself, so, on the 12th I'll probably wear my favorite jeans and a top. My boyfriend is exasperated with my weirdness, if I were him I'd find a mighty serious reason to be in another city on the 12th....Poor man :)...he suggested I take a sip of brandy to calm myself before the events. Maybe the whole bottle.:))..I'll keep you posted as soon as I buy the shoes :).
