Although we were busy with sessions this past weekend , Mother's Day was still good to me. Darren was a doll and did the dishes and laundry, and got me a few gifts from him and Ryder. :-)
I have to touch on one of the gifts he got me: the DVD "Magic Mike." I laughed pretty hard when I opened it up, because that didn't strike me as a movie a husband would buy his wife for Mother's Day. He said it was in the Mother's Day DVD section, so he figured why not. I still haven't seen it....any good? I heard you can see Matthew McConaughey's butthole in it....is that true?! HAHA!
We had a small cookout at my parent's house Saturday evening. We had just come from a session, so I was actually able to grab my camera and snap a few pics.
He loved watering the flowers. He carried that watering can around for a good 15 minutes.
Darren and dad, watching the grill...enjoying beers...you know, doing "man" things.
Hey there stud. ;-)
Ryder loves running around with his aunt Kinzey. :-)
I guess he just needed to lie down for a minute.
Nevermind, he's ready for more play time.
Inside joke, but long story short, my dad makes this face and expression on purpose as a joke.
I crack up every time. :-)
It had been awhile since I had taken any sort of flower picture. I wish the sun would have been just a bit lower, but I still think it's pretty.
Love him. <3
Darren told me an interesting fact: heroes are sometimes photographed or filmed at an upward angle. Villains are the opposite, and are somtimes filmed or photographed at a downward angle. So, of course, he determined this picture depicted him as a hero.
This is his "heroric face." I guess we'll just go with it.
Yep, there's the face I normally get when I have my camera out.
I hope all of you mommas out there had a great Mother's Day! :-)
