Perhaps it's just me, but when Mothers Day rolls around...does anybody else feel like they buy the same old gift year in and year out?
No matter how much I try to plan otherwise, it feels to me like every single year I send my mother another bunch of flowers or buy her more bath oils...admittedly my mom is pretty difficult to buy for as she doesn't like spa days or beauty treatments, is fussy when it comes to clothes and shoes, doesn't care for designer handbags, and only wears one kind of perfume! ...but surely there must be something new and a little different I can buy this year?!
The fact that she lives 250 miles away makes it more difficult, as anything I buy has to something that's going to survive a long journey in cardboard boxes through the postal system!
I've spent this evening surfing the web for some inspiration, and here are a few of the ideas I've come up with...
1.Personalised Framed Family Art Print - This would be just lovely with all of her children and grandchildrens names on, something to treasure for years to come!
2.A personalised wall plaque about Nanny's House - this was a quote she shared on Facebook recently and I think she'd love to have it to hang on her wall at home!
3. A lovely Mothers Day hamper from Not On The High Street would be a lovely surprise in the post, a real treat to wake up to on Mothering Sunday!
4. I just love this little wooden hanging heart and I think it would be an ideal gift from the grandchildren along with some handmade artwork
5. This necklace is just gorgeous and contains the birthstones of each child/grandchild as well as their names...I would love to receive something like this myself! (hint hint!)
I'm feeling a little more inspired after my online browsing session - let's just see if I can get myself organised to choose something in time, or else it will end up being yet another bunch of flowers!
