I love losing myself in a movie and getting swept away in the emotion of it - I can appreciate most kinds of movies, from romance and high drama to teen comedies and full on horror fests!
Movies can be full of emotive speeches and motivational speakers which can really inspire me, and so today I thought I'd share with you my Top 5 Motivational Speeches from the movies and why I love them so much!
1.
From The Pursuit Of Happyness - a father teaches his son never to let anything or anybody stop him from realising his dreams. The perfect life lesson.
2.
This is taken from the movie Serendipity, and comes from the main character Jonathan Trager's best friend who is giving a mock obituary speech summing up Trager's life - I love it because it sums up what I love about the notion of destiny and what I'd like to believe to be the truth myself.
3.
“You know how long it takes a workin’ man to save five thousand dollars? Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you’re talking about, they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath? Anyway, my father didn’t think so. People were human beings to him, but to you, a warped, frustrated old man, they’re cattle.”
This famous speech by George Bailey in "Its a wonderful life" gets me everytime!

"I don't know if Charlie's silence here today is right or wrong. I'm not a judge or jury, but I can tell you this: He won't sell anybody out to buy his future! And that, my friends, is called integrity. That's called courage. Now that's the stuff leaders should be made of. Now I have come to the crossroads in my life. I always knew what the right path was. Without exception, I knew. But I never took it. You know why? It was too damn hard. Now here's Charlie. He's come to the crossroads. He has chosen a path. It's the right path. It's a path made of principle that leads to character. Let him continue on his journey."
From Al Pacino in Scent Of A Woman in defense of Charlie - I love his words about courage and integrity.
So what quotes from movies do you find inspiring?! As always, I'd love to hear from you!
