Mummy Hair: My Cheat Solution!

Posted on the 08 April 2014 by Sparklesandstretchmarks @raine_fairy

I have recently been loving the Secrets Hair Bun from Hair Raisers.
There are various bun styles available in the range, including the Top Knot which I think looks amazing, however the one I've been reaching for on those busy mornings is the tousled bun.
I have mentioned many times that since having Tyne my hair is not what it used to be - it suffered greatly during pregnancy and unfortunately has never quite returned to its former glory.
These days it looks lank and lacklustre quickly - I used to get days out of each wash, but now I`m lucky if it looks good for 12 hours!
And so - as a busy mommy who simply doesn't have the luxury of time to spend washing my hair constantly - I need quick fix solutions.
I'm pleased to say that hair raisers have provided me with a great one!
Whenever I feel that my hair isn't looking its best, I no longer have to fret about squeezing in time and getting up extra early to wash it - I have a go-to option that is much easier and much quicker!
I use my OSMO Day Two Styler dry shampoo - which is my favorite dry shampoo of all time! - it is not only designed to give you an extra day out of each wash, but it gives great volume too! I can't recommend this highly enough - it's quickly become a must have item in my beauty box!
A quick spritz of this goes on, and then its time to style.
It really couldn't be easier. You simply put your own hair into a quick bun

And then cover it with the Hair Raisers Bun - each Hair Raisers bun has a comb attached inside to ensure it has a good grip to your hair and doesn't come out with movement.

It also has a pretty cool drawstring attached which I use to pull securely around my own bun, and then tuck up inside.

Once in place the bun feels secure and very comfortable - I can't feel it there at all, but it really looks like I've spent WAY more time and effort on my hair than I actually have.

I like to accessorize with different hairbands and clips, to complete the look - this is something I started to do after reading the Hairstyle How Tos on Layered Online
